Desperados steps into festival wear with Paolina Russo collab

Ever wanted to be completely hands-free in a festival crowd? No jacket flung over your arm in case it decides to rain; no cup spilling your drink all over the floor every time you feel the music too much; no handheld fan to keep you cool under the beating sun. Well, the latest innovation from Desperados isn’t what you might expect from the Latin Spirit Flavoured Beer brand. Wanting to solve more issues than your thirst at elrow festivals this summer, Desperados has collaborated with LVMH prize-winning designer Paolina Russo to create the ultimate jacket to help festival-goers forget the forecast and focus on letting loose.

With a built-in pouch inside the jacket to hold your Desperados Freeze drink while you wear it, the Freeze-Fit allows the frozen drink to circulate through an insulated tube system integrated into the garment, allowing you to sip from the straw while you two-step. On top of that, the jacket has a built-in cooling system, with hidden fans built into the back of the jacket to maximise airflow. Festival-goers can eliminate the risk of regretting not bringing a jacket, without compromising on style.

A true collaboration between innovative functionality and Paolina Russo’s signature use of bold colour, texture and experimentation, the limited-edition Freeze-Fit is crafted using thermochromic materials and changes appearance as temperatures shift. This creates a unique, dynamic visual effect that evolves throughout the day and night.

Timed to festival season, the launch of Desperados Freeze takes the beloved tequila-flavoured beer and transforms it into an ice-cold slushy, perfect for sipping on the festival floor and keeping you cool and refreshed.

Desperados is pushing the limits of what happens when beer and culture collide, and what unexpected ideas, bold collaborations and playful innovations can come out of it.
