MIISTA Celebrates Sustainable Hedonism with ‘Raving and Repairing’ Event in LA

Miista is rethinking the rules of nightlife, pushing hosting beyond excess and into intention. For their latest collection launch, the footwear pioneers transformed the party into something more meaningful: a space where pleasure and purpose coexist.

Forget the next-day hangover. Guests at Miista’s SS26 celebration left not only with memories but with a more sustainable wardrobe. Hosted at TEG (The Evans Group) in Los Angeles, an ethical clothing factory by day, the venue was reimagined for the night as a hybrid rave and repair hub.

In a subversive take on the traditional cloakroom, attendees checked in their own garments to be repaired or altered on-site by skilled craftspeople, before stepping onto the dance floor. The result was a circular experience – garments restored while guests revelled.

MIISTA placed craft and music at the centre of the evening, blending both into a shared experience. Live sets from some of the most exciting names in techno and electronica – DJ_Dave, LeeLee, Banoffee, and Olive Kimoto – carried the night, creating a space where music, culture and craft existed on equal footing.

Known for their asymmetrical silhouettes and multi-functional designs, Miista extended their design philosophy beyond the runway and into lived experience. The event became a physical expression of the collection’s ethos, where sustainability isn’t a constraint, but a catalyst for creativity and connection.

The SS26 collection reflects Miista’s continued evolution. A shift away from convention, where handcrafted imperfections are favoured over homogeneity. Through asymmetry and its signature multi-positional pieces, the collection invites creativity and self-expression to take the lead.
