Kapten & Son Want To Make Your Life Easier
Whether commuting to work, packing for a weekend away, or carrying a suitcase full of clothes and magazines to fashion week, Kapten & Son helps you stay cool, calm, and collected–the perfect façade we’re all striving for.

The Heathrow Aluminium Check In case, in silver, was my poison of choice for my latest trip to Madrid fashion week. With carefully designed compartments for organised packing, it’s clear that functionality is front of mind in the design. The check-in bag comes with a suitcase tag, wash bag and four packing cubes, all measured to fit together like a jigsaw inside the case. This means maximum efficiency–no more rummaging through piles of clothes to try and find your socks. Kapten & Son have done the groundwork to make packing easy. They’ve even added in a built-in section to store your dirty laundry separately from the rest of your perfectly packed belongings.

Packing light was not an option for me this week, and as someone who notoriously hates packing, I was extremely grateful for every bit of help I could get from the Heathrow Aluminium Check In Case. Stacked magazines on one side, tightly secured with the built-in straps, while an abundance of clothes were neatly rolled into the packing cubes and organised in the other half of the suitcase. Once closed and secured with two three-digit TSA combination locks, I stepped back to admire my work, realising, for the first time in my life, that I hadn’t needed to sit on my suitcase while my flatmate sweated it out trying to zip it up for me.

Seventy-seven litres filled later, and despite my luggage weighing almost 23kg on the dot, I was practically gliding around the airport, thanks to the sturdy, 360° swivel castors (which are detachable by the way!). I left rainy London for sunny Madrid with my water-repellant case feeling more prepared than ever: efficiently packed, effortlessly stylish.
