City romance in bloom: AGL’s envisionment of urban feminity
A dream of coquettish romance unfolding in the city. AGL’s Fall/Winter 26/27 BOWpulent collection reimagines Victorian elegance under urban skies.
The bow is the heart of the collection, oversized and sculptural. It blooms across brickred patent loafer and It flirts at the toe of combat boots, softening their stomp. It wraps the ankle on corset boots, exaggerated and alluring.
The silhouettes are elongated and delicate, almost doll-like. Over the knee stretch nappa boots cling like silk stockings, tracing the leg with a feminine elegance. The classic silhouette of the Kitten heel is lightly refreshed and the metallic bronze mules with lace up the ankles, modernise the Mary Jane for city life whilst maintaining a ballerina poise.
The palette of the collection looks something like a vintage vanity table. Shades of Cream, beige, powder revived by dark brown, lacquered red and inky black tones.
Patent leather is utilised producing a lacquered sweetness, while the suede softens with a tactile plushness. The duplicity of the fabrics are not only chosen for touch, but to bring tension. The polished against matte, supple against sculpted, softness and a feminine strength.
